    LeEco just doesn't get it. I purchased three of the Le S3 phones. They didn't send me the promised DirecTV code.

    It took more than 45 (!) emails over the course of a full month as well as several phone calls to resolve the issue. Epic customer service fail. Contrast that with Apple who bend over backwards to solve the problem on the first contact within minutes.

    Prediction: LeEco will fail in the U.S. marketplace. They simply don't get it.

    I have now installed the Google Now launcher on my phones so I am no longer reminded that they are by this weird LeEco company. Yes, you can do that and you get the normal Android user interface. Make sure you also block all the LeEco apps from accessing the internet - there is something called AgnesService that always launches and you cannot turn it off. But basically these are just super cheap "disposable" Android phones. Any pretense that LeEco is building an "Ecosystem" are just absurd. You cannot build an ecosystem when you don't understand either your customer or what service means.

    I won't be surprised if I read in a few months that LeEco exited the U.S. market.
